A new Social Networking website, Forces365 has been launched.

Forces 365 is aimed at military personel, both serving and retired.

It is the venture of a young man named Jack Knowles and we think this is a great new website that is well written and designed.

We're sure that as it matures and the membership grows that the site will just become better and better

Welcome to The 2nd Battalion of The Queens Regiment
"To have served in The Queen's Regiment is to inherit traditions
and a history of greatness that no other army possesses."

Formed 31st December 1966 the Queens Regiment was England's senior infantry regiment of the line. The history of the Regiment and it's forebears is long and full of heroism. The Regiment also has the honour of holding the oldest battle honour in the British Army, that of Tangier 1662-1680.

This is now the home of the 2nd Battalion the Queens Regiment website. Sorry it is still a bit tatty round the edges

Please let me know of any problems with this site and I will do my utmost to put it right.

Please Read This:
Whilst I appreciate that the content is almost wholly plagiarised from the other site, I have temporarily suppressed my guilt over this by two thoughts:

1. The history of the regiment is mine as much as anyone else's and whilst I realise that does not give me carte blanche to steal it, I have done so in the full knowledge that should a problem arise, there are plenty of you guys out there far more qualified than I to supply a new version should a serious objection be raised.

2. I ain't gonna try to re invent the wheel or rewrite history

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the authors of the original works published at www.2ndqueens.com for their obviously painstaking work and would hope you will realise that I have done this not for just myself, but for the other Queensmen who would be poorer in the knowledge that it was all lost in an oversite, I hope you will forgive me.

STAND TO!
